New Video: Move Your Body by Beyonce

Beyonce may be taking it easy on the promo for her new single but that doesn't mean the superstar performer hasn't been hard at work.   Joining first lady Michelle Obama for her obesity campaign the singer has re-recorded one of her dance records to bring awareness to children around the world to get up and "Move Your Body".  I don't even have to say how much Beyonce killed this because quite frankly it speaks for itself but I will say her stage presence is unmatched..

REVIEW: 'Run The World (Girl)' -Beyoncé

Amidst the online frenzy surrounding Beyonce's new single, the final version now titled 'Run The World (Girl)' has finally made its way to iTunes and Amazon. This song, which most notably samples the popular Major Lazer's 'Pon de floor', finds Beyonce belting her way through the Shea Taylor and Switch beat that features lyrics from The Dream. So has our thirst for a new innovated single from the powerhouse been quenched?

What I can say is that this song will definitely be a grower if you find yourself at a crossroad or a pivotal point of indifference. Beyonce has delivered yet another female anthem for 2011. Boasting about her abilities as a woman to rule, conquer and demand presence, Beyonce effortlessly runs circles around her other contemporaries with her soaring vocals. Her delivery on this track is alarming and reminiscent of 'Ring The Alarm' being very loud and direct. One thing for sure is that she isn't playing this round. On this track we find Beyonce returning to her urban roots and growling her way through this bass driven song. No one can ride a beat like Queen Bee! The production of the song is the standout, however the track itself tends to get too busy and redundant at times. The track also falls short of lyrical content, but then again who really cares about the words when you're going in on the dance floor? As expected this song will definitely be the club banger everyone has been waiting for!

But I digress, using a more analytical approach, 'Run The World' sounds like a mix of all of Beyonce's club hits cemented into one that has failed to impress. Will this be a winner for the singer? Unfortunately only time will tell. This song definitely will be a shock factor for radio since this song sounds like nothing that is out right now. Hopefully the WORLD will be ready for the return of B. It's safe to say that the song is very underwhelming for an artist of Beyonce's caliber; lacking originality and lyrical content. But it's a club banger and lets hope the video has the 'Single Ladies' effect!

John's opinion: Love the song, not groundbreaking.

Katy Perry & Kanye West Perform On American Idol

Katy Perry & Kanye West set the American Idol stage on fire tonight with the remix of Katy's single "E.T."

The duo have been murdering the charts with the single that is currently #2 on the Hot 100 after being booted from the number one spot by Rihanna and Britney's S&M remix.  I'm sure after this futuristic performance the song is sure to return to its former glory in no time.

Teyana Taylor On The Defense

Did Teyana Taylor Deebo a chick for talking slick about her beloved friend Chris Brown?

Well according to news reports Teyana put down a serious beating on a girl in a studio this past Saturday after the alleged victim made some slick comments about Chris Brown.  Taylor allegedly punched and kicked the chick repeatedly and fled the studio before cops could arrive.  There has been no official statements from Teyana's camp but she definitely looks like the type of chick who can open up a can of whoop ass...

New Music ♫: S&M Remix by Rihanna ft Britney Spears

Rihanna has teamed up with Britney Spears for the official remix to her controversial single "S&M".  The two decided to work together after popular demand and although I was excited that they gave it a go that excitement was very short lived.

My idea of a remix is a completely re-vamped song and this is nothing more than their people putting two huge names on a track to push sales.  Both girls held their own on the track but its to much like the original for me so in all honesty there was no point.

Rihanna Performs at Academy of Country Music Awards

Pop superstar Rihanna hit the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight and performed her latest single "California King Bed" with Sugarlands leading lady Jennifer Nettles.

Before I critique the performance let me first go on record and say that when I first heard this song months ago I told many friend who can vouch that if Rihanna gave this song to a country audience it would be one of the smartest moves of her career and now my words have manifested (GO ME) Not only is the song  lyrically beautiful the delivery of the record may very well be Rihanna's best work.

With that said Rihanna and her team of handlers are great at marketing and handling business a task that some of these other artist need to take heed to.  The performance started off a little rocky  yet I can't place the blame on Rihanna there was many technical issues with the sound of her mic and so on.  Both ladies held their own,  in their own right. The song should surely be recorded as a duet.
